Character Profile: Ela

*Author's note*
I found this skin online (credit to DarkEla5 on minecraftskins.com) and used it as inspiration for the character. Just to be clear, this isn't my "OC", this isn't a visual art project, it's a Minecraft playthrough with a light roleplay element :)

"Ela" is my adopted avatar through which I experience this Minecraft world and relay its lore to you. Ela has their own identity and personality, but they share my knowledge of and experience with the game.
- Name: Elanora "Ela" Indigo Stackwell
- Pronouns: they/them
- DoB: 10 Mar 1998 (age 27 at start of world)
- Height: 180cm / 5'11" (standard minecraft character height)
- Favourite colour: Purple
- Favourite weapon: Bow
- Favourite wood: Oak
- Likes:
- Swimming, boating, fishing – the call of the sea is strong with this one!
- Cats. Do I need to explain this one? :3
- OG Minecraft trivia. Ela's been playing since Alpha and *really* wants you to know that.
- Dislikes:
- Loud noises! Explosions, thunder cracks, screams and shrieks. Ela just wants to mine in peace!
- Getting lost in caves. Those branching, winding, narrow ones in the deepslate layers are the worst XD
- Interior design. Home is a place to rest between adventures. Making it pretty is a problem for later!
Etymology
Ela's name has a wide range of meanings across different languages, some of which are rather apt for the Minecraft world. And it's gender neutral too! Here's a selection:
- Ela (Aramaic; Girl) – Oak.
- Elanora (Greek/Hebrew/Latin? sources vary; Girl) – Bright, Light, Torch.
- Elanora (Hindu; Boy) – The leaves of the creeper.
- Elanora (Australian indigenous; Girl) – Home by the sea.
Indigo (Latin/Greek; Gender neutral) – a blue-purple dye. Also a nod to Pokémon's Indigo Plateau :D
Stackwell (English) – a variant of "Stockwell", meaning tree trunk/stump and well/stream/spring. As you'll see, Ela can, indeed, stack well.
