Before we start, let's go over a couple things about me & the world.

I have a few... special talents, shall we say.

  • First, and the coolest thing if you ask me – I can stack items past 64. One type of item equals one inventory slot. That goes for storage too!
  • I can snap up items from further away. No more blocks falling down holes!
  • I can chop down a tree with a single swing of an axe – as long as it has the durability! I'll hold back on the 2x2 trees though until I get diamond axes.
  • If I don't like a villager's starting trades, I can ask them for a new set. No need to break the work block and wait for them to retake the job.
  • When I find elytra, I can cobble them onto my chestplate. No more awkward swapsies!
    • By the way – I'm hiding my armour underneath my clothes. No way I'm covering up this hoodie! The wings will show over top though – and there's another wee surprise in store when that time comes ;)
  • And, I have a view of some of the essential numbers that make this blocky world tick. Coordinates, time, light levels, status effect countdowns, horse speed. Stuff that I picked up from my server playing days and I just can't live without now, hehe :D

As for the world – let's just say I've pulled the seed slots a few times and turned up something very nice indeed. We're not breaking any speedrun records with this one, nor making a Top 10 list with breathtaking scenery, but we have everything we could want for early game and more. Off the bat, we spawn in a little coastal forest, perfect for a starter home. To the north and east is a sprawling jungle, south is a big ocean, and just around the coast to the west is a village! And beyond that is a pillager tower... It's gonna be fun!

On the flipside... I'm a bit behind the times when it comes to the main game. This world is on version 1.19.4. That means I'm gonna miss out on a few things: cherry trees, bamboo blocks, copper and tuff variants, archaeology, trial chambers, autocrafters, armor trims, camels, and sniffers. But if you ask me, what I've got cooking is better than this. BETTER THAN SNIFFERS.²

"But Ela!" I hear you say. "Isn't this a bit much? Aren't you overpowered? Isn't this... CHEATING???" To which I say, this is my sandbox and I make the rules! It may not look like it, but I have a life outside this blocky world, and I intend to use my time here for chill building, not hardcore gaming! (For what it's worth though – I am on Hard mode!) However "talented" I may be, I still have to collect every resource that I use, and as the saying goes, I can only place... One Block At A Time.

  2. I was going to call this series "Better Than Sniffers", until I discovered almost three weeks in that someone already made a modpack by this name. Spoiler for Part 16, lol.
