Elaville
Part 2 ~ 11 June 2025
Played: 13 March 2025
I spotted this village when I first landed at Oak Coast, but I wanted to be alone for a bit while I got myself together and built my house. Now on day 4 (IRL time), we are ready! I packed my over-stacked stuff on a chest-boat, set out from the freshly-built pier, and introduced myself to the villagers!

These guys are gonna be my best friends. I... am not gonna be theirs. Don't let my looks deceive you – I've got a mean streak! This is MY village and these guys are just living in it. And to that end, I dub this place – Elaville.
My first job in Elaville is health and safety. I know from my past worlds that villagers are super fragile, and with a population of only seven, I can't afford any accidents! So, charcoal torches in hand again, and the village is all lit up by afternoon. Oh, and better wall off that lava pit too!

With the village secured, it's time to get to business for real. We're making an iron farm. Three of our seven guys in here, a zombie in a boat there, and BAM, crispy iron golem! This hole in the ground is gonna be the backbone of the economy for a long time to come.

Next up, we need more "friends" so we can sell this iron and get better gear. For that we need a carrot farm. It looks like carrots aren't native to this area, but I picked some up from a shipwreck so we're good to go. I like to build these up off the ground to save me some digging later on, so I've used the roof of the butcher's shop as my floor level. Ah, the humble life of a peasant rooftop farmer!

Enough building for one day. Let's go treasure hunting! The ocean is teeming with riches – and swimming zombies that may or may not throw tridents at me. Back on the boat with a handful of air-pocket doors... and luck is on my side as there's not a trident in sight. It started raining while I was out so I pulled out this lucky fishing rod (I already found two by this point) and called to the RNG of the sea. It responded in kind with a Power 4 bow and a nautilus shell. Not bad.

While living the pirate's life and digging up lost treasure, I also caught my first glimpse of the pillager tower. Ahoy! And over yonder be the badlands and the stony peaks, both o' which we be visitin' later, aye!

Lastly for today, I used my fishing haul to befriend the other local village life – the cats! Say hello to Sandy the siamese and Tomo the tuxedo!
